Best Practices your organizations apply to recruit and retain top talent?

According to an article from the Harvard Business Review (Martin & Schmidt, 2010), there are 7 major mistakes organizations make when trying to recruit and keep top talent. The first two include 1. Assuming That High Potentials are Highly Engaged –

– One in four intend on leaving within one year

– 30% admit to not being fully engaged

2. Equating Current High Performance with Future Potential – 70% of today’s high performers lack critical attributes essential to their success in future roles (Martin & Schmidt, 2010)

Although these two considerations are only a couple which need consideration in the HR strategy, it give us some insight as to the need for developing HR Best practices.
