characteristics of a Critical Thinker 

 

Some of the many characteristics of a Critical Thinker is someone who:

  1. is inquisitive with regard to a wide range of issues,
  2. has a concern to become and remain well-informed,
  3. has self-confidence in one’s own abilities to reason,
  4. is open-minded regarding world views,
  5. is flexible in considering alternatives and opinions,
  6. has an understanding of the opinions of other people,
  7.  is fair-minded, honest in facing one’s own biases, prejudices, stereotypes, or egocentric tendencies,
  8. can suspend making or altering judgments,
  9. has a willingness to reconsider and revise views where honest reflection suggests that change is warranted .
