The podcasts are an integral part of the course. I have asked students to listen to a minimum of seven podcasts and complete the respective worksheet. Each podcast is a 30 to 50-minute interview with an active historian about his or her research. I ask students to engage with podcasts in three different ways.
7 Podcasts to complete with 4 question for each podcast:
1. Write two or more main points that you took away from the podcast. *
2. After having listened to the podcast, what questions do you have that you felt that were not addressed in the course of the discussion? Pose at least one question. *
3. On a scale of 1 to 5, please rate your enjoyment of the podcast. *

4. What aspects of this podcast did you enjoy? How could this podcast have been improved? How did it compare to the previous podcasts. Please write down at least one piece of constructive criticism or praise. *
